Meet Dr. Hakan Koymen
Dr. Koymen (Dr. K to his patients) is a board-certified pediatric dentist originally from the state of Michigan. He attended dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy, and then entered a post-graduate residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Maryland. There he worked with several children from infants to children with special needs.
Dr. K is very active in the dental community at the state level. He has been appointed to several committees, including the Dental Action Committee for the State of Maryland to help all children gain access to quality dental care. Dr. K is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatrics, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also on staff at Franklin Square Hospital and is a clinical professor at the University of Maryland.
